As a food reviewer of Restaurant World, I had the pleasure of trying out some of their signature dishes. Customer reviews rave about the pork soup dumplings, bok choy, general tsaos chicken, and fish filet in hot sauce. The consistency of flavors may vary due to different chefs, but the quality of the food remains top-notch.
One highlight that stands out is their soup dumplings, which are a must-try for any dim sum lover. The pork soup dumplings and crab and pork soup dumplings are packed with flavor and perfectly balanced in every bite. The thin, yet sturdy wrapper holds a generous amount of savory filling, ensuring a delightful experience with each dumpling.
Dim Sum Garden's attention to detail and dedication to authentic flavors shine through in every dish. Despite the cash-only policy and occasional wait times, the exceptional food and friendly staff make it a worthwhile dining destination.

My family has been coming to Dim Sum Garden for over 10 years, and we have always left with full and happy bellies. The restaurant is clean, modern, and the service is always quick and efficient. The pork soup dumplings are to die for. The bok choy and general tsaos chicken is also excellent.

This is what I like to call "my go to chinese spot." The service is quick, the food is good, and I always leave needing to be rolled down the street because i'm so full. The chicken and broccoli is my go to and i've noticed it's not always consistent with the flavor, probably due to different chefs, but it's still good and they give you a decent amount of chicken. I recently tried their fish filet in hot sauce which was the best risk i've taken here so far. It was delicious and had so much fish inside. The only downsides of this place are how busy they get so you may have to wait, the inconsistencies of the taste, the fact that rice isn't included ($1-2 add on which I think is ridiculous when the dish is already ~$18), and that it's a cash or Zelle (no more venmo) only business but they have an ATM. But despite all of that that I keep coming because it's always good.

Staff was friendly, and there was no wait on Saturday afternoon when I went. I recommend the zhajiang noodles and chili wontons. The spicy shrimp dumplings were too spicy for me and didn't seem like traditional dimsum Chinese food. Next time I want to try their soup dumplings. Remember to bring cash but they also have an ATM machine in the front.

We got the pork soup dumplings and crab and pork soup dumplings as well as fried rice cake with pork. The soup dumplings are great 10/10. The wrapper was nice and thin but did not rip once. There was a great wrapper to meat ratio and there was plenty of soup in the dumpling. The ratios of all components were perfectly correct and on top of that, it was delicious. Definitely better hot though. It started to be more mid as it cooled but if you eat fast, you'll have a great experience. I also appreciated that the pork only soup dumpling tasted differently from the pork and crab soup dumplings as some places put minimal amounts of crab such that they taste largely the same. Wonderful wonderful experience, would recommend. The fried rice cake was good, a little more chewy than I expected. Essentially ttbeokki with lo mein taste for those wondering. 7/10 Loved this place Note: cash only

Great place to eat. I got there when it first opened on a Thursday. Ordered the Pan Fried Pork Soup Dumplings and Beef HoFun. Surprisingly, the HoFun came out first. Thought that perhaps they forgot or that the HoFun should be enough for one person. Then the dumplings came out with the server explain that they make them fresh so that's why not takes so long. I'm glad these two both came out. I loved them both!!! Decore is nice and the staff (server, manager, etc.) were very pleasant and welcoming. Big plus is that they provided a kettle of hot tea on this dank and dreary day. Five dumplings (out of five) for this place. :-)

CASH ONLY (like many Chinese restaurants). The soup dumplings did not disappoint! They were juicy, soupy, rich, and tender. The skin was strong and did not rip prematurely. I only wish that they gave dumplings sauce with ginger. There was soy sauce and vinegar on the table but I did have to ask for small saucers. The udon and vegetable dumplings were also good! I didn't try anything else. There is ample seating especially for a narrow city restaurant.

*Cash only* Best pork soup dumplings. Best fried pork soup dumplings. Amazing scallion pancakes. Large menu variety. Fast service. Great prices. Run don't walk

A Must-Visit for Soup Dumpling Lovers in Philadelphia Dim Sum Garden, a popular spot in Chinatown, is a bustling hub of activity with a line often extending out the door. The restaurant's ambiance is subtly adorned with Asian décor, providing a pleasant dining experience. The service was efficient, with the staff focusing more on promptness rather than engaging in small talk. This is a typical characteristic of many Chinatown restaurants, so it didn't detract from the overall experience. We started our meal with scallion pancakes, shrimp dumplings, and steamed dumplings in sauce. These dishes were standard dim sum fare, but they didn't particularly stand out. The dumplings in sauce had an excess of skin, making them a bit on the salty side. The string beans were a welcome addition to our meal, cooked just right and offering a different flavor profile that complemented the other dishes well. However, the star of the show at Dim Sum Garden is undoubtedly their soup dumplings. In my opinion, they serve the best soup dumplings in Philadelphia. The crabmeat with pork soup dumplings were particularly flavorful and did not disappoint. Despite some dishes being average, the exceptional soup dumplings make Dim Sum Garden a place worth revisiting. I look forward to satisfying my next soup dumpling craving here.
